How much would the ocean have to rise to submerge the Maldives?

The average height of the Maldives is 1.5 meters, with a high point of 2.4 meters.  If the sea rose 1.5 meters, 80% of the islands would be under water, but far less than that would still be detrimental and even devastating.  The 2004 tsunami essentially submerged the Maldives for minutes.  The Maldives might not be inhabitable, or might not exist, within this century.
