That is a miniscule percentage, much less than ono ten-thousandth of the total.
According to the Renewable Energy Policy Network for the 21st century (REN21), approximately 19% of worldwide energy consumption came from renewable energy in 2008. The solar PV industry grew by 53%, wind power by 32%, and geothermal and hydropower by 3-4%. In Europe, almost 20% of annual power production comes fro mrenewable resources.
