How much of the worlds pollution comes from China?

    The answer to your question greatly depends on the pollution you are referring to.  As far as “greenhouse gases” go, such as carbon dioxide, the United States has been estimated to emit about a third more than our Chinese counterparts.  However, the United States has much stricter regulations on heavy metal pollutants, i.e. lead.  One plant alone in China was recorder to emit 1.11 tons of lead in a year.
