How much of the world’s old growth forests are in Canada?

I am not sure of the percentage that is located specifically in Canada, but about 28% is located in North America as a whole.  10,000 square kilometers of old growth forest is, unfortunately, cut down every year in North America.  Also, much of the old growth forests left in the Northern US and southern Canada lack animal corridors and ecosystems which are needed to support larger mammal species.
