Obama has set a goal of accommodating one million plug-in vehicles by the year 2015.  A consulting firm called Pink Research is addressing the question of how to create the charging infrastructure.  It’s predicted that most charging installations at that time will be through private companies enabling electric car owners to charge their vehicles at their own homes.  Nissan has plans to establish 11,210 charging stations throughout the states of Arizona, California, Oregon, Washington and Tennessee to meet the demands of their boosts in electric vehicle productions.  The Department of Energy is issuing a grant of 99.8 million dollars to assist the development.
