How much wildlife was killed in the Los Angeles fires?

In slower burning fires, larger mammals are able to escape the flames while insects and small reptiles are most vulnerable. The Los Angeles fires have moved very quickly and as a result have killed domestic animals such as cows and horses. Studies done on the impact on wildlife after these fires have shown that the damage depends on many factors such as the intensity and severity of the fires. The real damage done to the ecosystems won’t be realized until the fires have long been extinguished.
