Water vapor in the form of clouds and fog make up .001 percent of the water on the planet, amounting to around 14,000 cubic kilometers. I’m not aware of any studies that measure the daily fluctuation of water volume evaporating from the ocean and rain returning water to the ocean, but accumulatively the rate of water loss from the ocean’s surface has been measured at 120 centimeters per year.
