Ever since the last ice age, sea levels have rose 120 meters. As of 2003, because of the rising climate and the increase in melting glaciers sea levels are rising around 1.19 millimeters per year. This is a significant increase, since only about 60 years ago the rate used to be .42 millimeters per year.
