How much water does a football field take to keep green?

    It depend on the season. These fields don’t need to be watered when there is enough rainfall to make up for this but a 75,000 square-foot field needs a minimum supply of 1/4 inch of water daily. In addition to this, about 375 pounds of nitrogen, 150 pounds of phosphorus and 250 pounds of potassium fertilizers are also needed each year.
