How much water could I save if I put in a low flow toilet and new washer and dryer?

This depends how old the toilet you are replacing is. For a toilet installed before 1980 that uses 7 gallons, you can cut down on 77% of the water used, whereas for one that uses 5 gallons, you can cut down on 68%, and for a toilet installed after 1980, you can cut down on 54%. As for a new washer, shoot for a one with the lowest Water Factor listed. These can cut down on water emissions by as much as 69% if you pick an energy efficient front loading machine.
