How much water can be stored in 1 glacier?

This is a difficult question to answer simply because it is often difficult to distinguish between different glaciers. Ice fields become ice caps become ice sheets, these masses aren’t usually clearly defined and often bleed into each other. As glaciers retreat, what was formerly known as one glacier may separate int three or four glaciers. This being said, one of the world’s largest glaciers, the Siachen Glacier boasts more than 2 trillion cubic feet of ice which translates roughly to 56,640,000,000,000 litres of water.
