A recent study by MIT predicts that if no action is taken to fight climate change, temperatures could rise by as much as 9 degrees Fahrenheit by 2100.
There are many factors that contribute to global warming, such as the amount of greenhouse gas emissions and the amount of deforested lands. Because there are multiple factors involved in global warming, scientists from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate estimate that the global temperature could increase anywhere from 1.4 to 5.8 degrees Celsius by 2100.
