Toilets built before 1982 use 5 to 7 gallons per flush. Now,
toilets are designed to flush using only 1.6 gallons of water.
So figure out when the toilet was made and then multiply the gallons by flushes per week. It depends on how many people use the toilet and its location. i.e. public toilet or one in your basement that people stay away from unless its an emergency
