In 1995, the National Energy Policy Act mandated a standard of 1.6 gallons/flush for toilets. Professional and college football stadiums can range from 30,000 to over 100,000 seats. So let’s say there are 80,000 fans attending and each one uses the bathroom once. That would put water usage at 128,000 gallons of water per game. This is very ballpark, of course, and doesn’t include washing hands but since the number of seats and the fans who attend can range so much, it’s hard to give an exact number. But 100,000-200,000 gallons seems to be a reasonable range.
