How much Trash does an average Switzerland resident produce each year?

Switzerland actually has a really high per capita trash record compared to other European nations. As of 2008, the Swiss produced 714kg, or 1,574lbs of waste annually per person. However, half of the waste the Swiss produce is recycled and only a small portion of the trash ends up in landfills. The figure for total waste might also seem very high because the Swiss keep better track of their waste than other nations do.
