The great pyramid of Giza is made of 1,709,288 blocks of stone, you might find accounts claiming to have 2.3 million blocks but those consider the inner rooms as if they didn’t exist. Each weighing around 2.5 tons. They used a special stone, called limestone to build these. An average size stone was 5x8x12 ft (or 1,5m x 2.4m x 3.6m).
