HSBC Global Research calculated that 16 percent of the $825 billion stimulus package were slated for green spending, compared to 0 percent in Poland, 14 percent in the European Union, 34 percent in China and 69 percent in South Korea. The EPA received an allocation of $7.22 billion from the stimulus package. However, there is much skepticism that this will create jobs in the US. Some believe that Obama is creating green jobs overseas.
