Currently, Solyndra’s manufacturing plants are responsible for about 300 mw of solar power annually. By 2013, they hope to be producing 610 mw annually. This production power is coming mostly from their second plant Fab 2. The original plant is considering being scrapped while their second plant has plans for expansion. While Solyndra is known for producing financially viable solar panels, they have fallen under stiff competition from plants in China.
