That should be 1.26 microseconds – 0.00000126 seconds x 365 = five ten thousandths of a second in a year. It will take 2000 years for the effect to add up to one second.
NASA reported that the recent earthquake in Chile tilted the Earth’s axis by 3 inches. This takes 1.26 microseconds off our day. Not something you would really notice!
