How much of the population of the gray wolf is left?

    There is an estimated 200,000 gray wolves left worldwide spread out over 57 countries. This is a drastic number if compared to the roughly 2 million that roamed the lands in earlier times. There are between 7,000 and 11,200 in Alaska, and a little more than 5,000 in the lower U.S.
