Many billion lbs of plastic ends up in landfills each year, but that not the only place plastic is dumped. More than 90% of marine debris is made of plastic. The plastic breaks down into tiny pieces, then being mistaken for food and eaten by marine life. There is to much plastic in landfills, but we need to stop putting plastic in the oceans.
