I’d say that depends on the person and what classes they’re taking. Some students feel the need to write everything down, whereas some prefer to write nothing. If students take more difficult classes, and are more motivated to excel, they’re likelier to use paper. However, I’ve seen some “slackers” come to school without paper or even writing utensils. Some students have small handwriting and try to conserve paper, while others flip to a new page for every topic and doodle on half the page. Also, some teachers may require students to take notes, while others post their notes online. So overall, there’s really no “average” because all schools, teachers, and students are different. Personally, I try to use a page or two a day, but I’ve seen students use eight to ten pages a day.
