How much oxygen does trees produce?

Canada’s environmental agency states that a tree can produce 260 pounds of oxygen a year.  This means that two fully grown trees produce enough oxygen for a family of four.  The number can vary from who is asked but most sources agree that a fully mature and healthy tree produces about enough oxygen for two people.
