Certain states already do have a feed in tariffs such as California, and as the idea benefits on-site renewable energy, solar undeniably is the most likely to fill th role.
As far as a quantitative benefit of feed in tariffs, it’s very hard to say – depending on how widely the information is disseminated and the availability of on-site solar installation, but undeniably the potential is huge – as a way of off-setting the initial investment in solar, and working towards making solar more prolific, further increasing access.
