How much more energy do Americans use than the average Chinese person?

As of 2003, the total energy consumption per capita in the United States was 7794.8 kilogrammes of oil equivalent (takes into consideration all forms of energy used and how much oil would be needed to produce that amount) while the same statistic for China is 1138.3 kilogrammes.  While China uses a relatively small amount of energy less than the total energy usage of the US, China’s energy usage is spread among a greater number of people.
