A lot. I doubt anyone has compiled the numbers, but if you think about both state and local credits for things like installing solar panels, upgrading appliances or windows and properly insulating homes, on top of the federal credits and you would come up with one large sum. Conversely, some of these things may help create jobs or at least keep some employed, and at least a portion of the money will be channeled back to the government.
