Obama has just approved a 2012 budget for the Department of Energy that will set aside $457 million for solar energy.

The total amount of money that will be issued for energy in general is 29.5 billion dollars:

    $341 million for biomass,

    $102 million for geothermal energy,

$580 million for advanced technology vehicle research,

$5.4 billion for long-term clean energy research.

    to name a few.
