    The Ady Gil, the 78 foot long boat that collided with a Japanese vessel on January 6th, was estimated to of cost nearly $2.5 million dollars. The 13 ton ship was launched in February 2006 and was funded almost entirely by donations. After its crash, experts estimate a financial loss of nearly $1.5 million due to the extensive damage to the structural support of the ship.
