The Sorthern Autonomous Atlantic Region (RAAS) is reporting 14,000 acres of crops were destroyed in areas hit by Hurricane Ida. Much of this was staple food sources such as rice, beans and tubers. Ida also caused 300 latrines to be caved in and 23,000 people to become homeless in the region.
Farmers have insurance for these kinds of things though right.
