There are appx. 650 million hectacres of forest cover in Africa (or there was in 2007) and about about 32.5 million ha (5%) are enforceably protected.  The Cameroon forest is the largest contributor of African wood exports, accounting for 23.8 million ha in size, and reducing annually by about 1%.  The money generated from the Cameroon deforestation is estimated at $60 million.
