How much of the Mississippi Delta has been destroyed since the 1930’s?

Since the advent of industrial agriculture, drainage of chemicals down the Mississippi has been a problem. Just past the delta, in the Gulf of Mexico, toxins from the farms upstream have created an area the size of New Jersey known as the Gulf of Mexico Dead Zone where oxygen levels are so low from pollution that no marine life can live their. This just shows how mcuh of an impact we can have as a species.
