How much marble do we use in America?

Marble consumption ranges from year to year, depending on supply and demand.  According to the United States Geological Survey, in 2006 marbel production was 46,400 tons but in 2005 it was 72,300 tons.  Consumption varies year to year as well as how the marble is used (in whole form or crushed for industrial use).
