How much longer is the Arizona going to leak oil?

At this point, indefinitely.  It seems as though scientists are using the USS Arizona as a data point to study shipwrecks instead of doing anything about the 2-9 quarts of oil leaking from the ship daily.  What’s worse is that they’re also pretty sure that once the main structure of the ship collapses there will be an eruption of all the oil, creating a huge mess to put it simply.

Officials are aware of the possibility of a major leak and have plans in place should that happen but it doesn’t appear that anything is being done about the daily leakage that is slowly poisoning the surrounding waters.  At this point they’re using the ship to study shipwrecks of all kinds so that they can predict in the future what will happen to metal and all the cargo that sits underwater for long periods of time.
