How much water in an hour can rainfall provide?

The answer to this question is variable. The variables are location and the power of the rainfall. Rain that falls at a greater speed and in greater quantity would be able to collect more rain in an hour than light showers over the course of an hour. The location variable is basically the factor that some places get more rain than others. Even when it rains in those locations the rain may not be in a large quantity because of the rarity of rainfall in that location. I hope this helps. If you would like an estimate please ask a question regarding a specific location so that we may better answer the question.
