Solar energy stocks have not done well this year. This is due to the global credit crunch and an oversupply of polysilicon, which is a crucial material for photovoltaic solar panels. LDK Solar (LDK) lost $2.03 per American Depository Share (ADS) on $228.3 million in revenue during the second quarter. LDK’s revenue fell by 48 percent. JA Solar (JASO) lost 18 cents per ADS.
