According to BBC News, the predicted 2010 global average temperature will be 14.58 C (58.24 F), which is around 0.6C (1.06 F) above a long term average of 1961-1990. Current record was set in 1998 with 14.52 C (58.14 F). 2009 was the 5th warmest year in a 160 year record.
