How much fuel does a combat jet use up in one run?

The US’s F-14 Tomcat fighter jet has a fuel capacity of 2400 gallons. Generally this fuel is not completely used up but is running low by the time the jet returns from its assigned mission. It would be safe to say 1750 gallons are used on average per fighter jet mission.
