How much faster does corn grow than cactus?

Corn is actually a grass, which means it grows very quickly. It devotes nearly all of its energy towards expansion and can grow over six feet in just a few months. Cacti meanwhile, are much slower growers. This is because their desert habitats lack the abundance of nutrients that fertile grasslands have. Cacti usually grow only a few inches a year, but live much longer than corn plants do.
