Vast amounts of energy goes into producing a music CD. I am an audio engineer and producer myself, and each mic channel, console, DAW, CD burner/player, other equipment all consume electricity. This adds up and once the audio is recorded, hours can be spent on the computer producing the CD itself. Once a finished product, the CD has to be produced, and I’m not too sure how much energy is expended during mass CD production. Otherwise it is a very energy consuming project; it just depends how much time you spend recording/editing really.
