How much energy does PG&E sell in a given day?

It can be hard to establish an average amount of energy that is sold or used, it all depends on demand. Pacific Gas and Electricity services almost 50 counties throughout South California, so it can be hard to give an accurate amount of energy sold a day. PG&E has a tracking outlook that displays the day to day energy use, the peak usually reaching about 40,000 megawatts around noon for most days in September.

When establishing how much energy is used electricity and gas both contributes to energy sales, both totaling to $16 billion a year.
