How much energy does the old tube TV’s use?

    A medium-sized cathode ray tube TV, 21 inches, will use about 45 watts when powered on. The TV uses a couple watts when it is on standby. Larger CRT sets can use up to 75 watts. For comparison, some very large plasma TVs can use over 350 watts.
