How much energy does it take to heat the water in my home?

I found a great page on household energy use which puts into perspective the energy costs for heating, lighting and cooking.  According to this website, the heating range is from 60 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Using the known constant of the specific heat of water, or the amount of energy required to heat one kg of water one degree Celcius and doing some unit conversions, they came to an energy cost of 25,600 BTU (about 7.5kWh).
