How much energy do we need to make a home run for a year?

8,900 kilowatt-hours of electricity each year is usually what it takes to run for a year.  Now, of course, that assumes that the house has an electric stove, electric hot water heater, and electric heat, but there aren’t yet figures for combined energy use.
