How much energy do ceiling fans use?

Ceiling fans use a small amount of energy as far as household appliances go; it’s comparable to the energy requirements of a light bulb. The energy usage of a ceiling fan depends on the size of its blade: a 36 inch blade uses 55 Watts, a 48 inch blade uses 75 Watts, a 52 inch blade uses 90 Watts, and a 56 inch blade uses 100 Watts.
