The entire world is dotted with volcanic activity, especially along the plate lines. Mountains themselves are potential volcanoes. The mid-ocean ridge, which is the longest mountain range in the world, is full of volcanic activity, and it literally wraps around the entire world. You also have volcanic hot spots, like the Yellowstone Super Volcano, in which the magma from the mantle is coming to the surface when it is not on a plate boundary. So volcanic activity is literally all over the Earth. As for an exact percentage, I do not know, but the effects of plate tectonics which is responsible for much of the volcanic activity, are tremendous. Visit the second link below for interactive information on plate tectonics.
