I can’t find any numbers about exact amounts of waste that a single Starbucks chain produces, but I can tell you that it is a lot and recently it was found out that Starbucks had a policy at all 10,000 of their outlets that at least one faucet had to been on constantly, 24 hours a day. That adds of the millions of gallons of water being wasted annually. Also the company set up a comprehensive waste management solution for their chains, showing that they indeed did produce a lot of unnecessary waste.
