How much energy does the hoover dam provide in a year?

    The Hoover dam generates 4 billion kilowatt-hours each year which is enough electricity for 1.3 million people. While this is a good amount of electricity, dams are harmful to estuarine ecosystems, inhibiting fish passage which can result in fewer fish who make it up river to spawn.
