    The California government reports that in 2007 the state produced a total 243.2 million barrels of oil. This report by the California Department of Conservation has table showing oil yield by year starting in 1993. The trend shows a general decrease in oil production starting with 343.7 million barrels in 1993 to the recent 2007 level.
