According to the Energy Information Administration, for July 2009 (latest available data), the marketed production of natural gas for the US is 1,853,600 million cubic feet. Marketed production refers to gross natural gas withdrawals less gas used for repressuring, gas vented and flared, and gases removed in processing operations.

The US produces around 18 trillion to 21 trillion cubic feet of natural gas per year. We consume about 21 to 24 trillion cubic feet per year; the difference is made up with imports, largely from Canada but also from Mexico, Nigeria, Egypt, and elsewhere.
