How much do farmers get paid by government subsidies?

Although this is very difficult to measure since subsidies come from so many different departments and entities, but most agree that American farmers receive over 20 billion dollars each year in federal subsidies. The largest portion of this, more than a third, goes to corn farmers in America’s heartland.
